Selection of Community Based Organization “CBOs” will be accomplished through
transparent and objective processes targeting legally registered local CBOs
throughout the country that have not received MOPIC funding directly or
indirectly during the past two years.
Efforts will be made to insure representative geographical distribution of
participating CBOs, and priority will be afforded to CBOs with women in
management positions and those organizations serving socially, economically, or
geographically marginalized and under-served communities in both urban and rural
areas as well as the refugee camps.
Special consideration will be given to organizations that play a dynamic role
in their communities and have a broad and active membership base, but have been
unsuccessful in mobilizing external resources.
CBOs with previous experience or that are currently implementing IGPs will
not be discriminated against, as the varying levels of capacity and experience
between CBOs will be taken into account during the design of all stages of the
program.
Selection will follow clear criteria and an objective process. Information
contained in the applications will be verified by team staff if necessary and
interviews and site visits will be conducted.
